We want to play an active role in shaping our community and making a positive impact. Through our efforts, we also aim to inspire others and show that, together, we can make a real difference. We support causes close to our hearts with donations and, above all, by giving our time.
Do you have a suitable project for us that we can support? If so, please feel free to contact us directly.
Plogging and cycling for the environment
For us, waste prevention is an important – and, above all, ongoing – commitment. That’s why our colleagues are out and about every month taking part in plogging (from the Swedish word plocka, meaning ‘to pick up’, and ‘jogging’) in Munich, Berlin and Nuremberg, picking up litter that hasn’t made it into the bins. We stay fit, make our city cleaner and raise awareness of the issue of waste prevention.
We try to get to work in a low-carbon way every day – whether by public transport, by bike or on foot. Thanks to our central location, this is easily achievable for most of us. That’s why it goes without saying that we take part in the ‘STADTRADELN’ campaign every year. For three weeks, the aim is to get on our bikes whenever possible and thereby contribute to climate protection. The campaign also draws attention to cycling infrastructure and the needs of cyclists. This year, our team cycled over 900 kilometres, saving around 140 kg of carbon dioxide.
By the way: anyone who doesn’t cycle with us can use a job ticket on public transport instead.

Communicating sustainability
When it comes to public perception, sustainability has become a key factor in a company’s image. Whether through CEO communications or employees acting as ambassadors, authentic sustainability communication can only succeed if management leads by example in driving the transformation within the company, if internal stakeholders regularly highlight the issue, and if a culture of sustainability is genuinely embedded. We help our clients communicate their sustainability activities authentically.
Committed to the Nuremberg CSR Network
The Nuremberg CSR network “Unternehmen Ehrensache” brings together businesses, charitable organisations and local authorities, as well as other public-sector institutions. Our colleague Nina Rittler is involved in the Kümmererkreis and, in addition to expanding our social media activities and providing communication support, is helping to organise the CSR Day. We are committed to raising awareness of corporate responsibility and promoting corporate volunteering in the Nuremberg region! We recommend that companies take part in the ‘IN AKTION’ volunteering day, for example.

Company Honour Day
We encourage our employees to volunteer, for example through the ‘IN AKTION’ volunteering day organised by Unternehmen Ehrensache. On this day, volunteers from companies contribute their time to charitable projects free of charge.
In July 2022, we joined mothers and fathers from the AWO’s parent education programme in Nuremberg for a guided tour of the old town. In their daily lives, parents don’t always find the time for this. On the day of action, participants were able to rediscover their city and make valuable new contacts.
Whether it’s keeping in touch with grandchildren or making online bank transfers using a smartphone – digital inclusion is becoming increasingly important. That’s why, in 2021, we teamed up with the Eberhardshof Senior Citizens’ Network to show older people tips and tricks for using smartphones and tablets, tailored entirely to their needs. Whether it was activating Wi-Fi, using navigation or making a video call – we too gained a lot from this intergenerational dialogue and enjoyed some wonderful encounters.

Social media activities at the Bayern 07 sports club
We support the Bayern 07 Bad swimming club, located right in the heart of Nuremberg, on a voluntary basis through various communication and marketing initiatives. The project kicked off in the summer of 2021, when students from the Technical University of Ilmenau developed communication concepts for the club as part of their practical seminar, led by our founder, Brigitte Kaltwasser. The initiatives developed by the student agency, which ultimately proved successful, will be implemented jointly by us and Bayern 07 Bad in the coming period.
We at Kaltwasser have also devised a social media strategy for the club. Since 2021, we have been bringing the pool to life on Instagram and Facebook, showcasing the wide range of activities on offer, such as swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, tennis and more. We will continue this commitment in 2022 and support Bayern 07 Bad’s social media efforts.
We ourselves have a corporate membership for our staff, who can relax in this green oasis after work.

Sustainability communication at the NÜRNBERG DIGITAL FESTIVAL
Once a year, the Nuremberg Digital Festival (#nuedigital) brings people in the Nuremberg metropolitan region together for eleven days to discuss key issues relating to digitalisation in business, science, education and culture. In 2023, at our event ‘Communicating sustainability – but how?’, various experts provided valuable insights into their sustainability communication strategies and shared practical examples. The conclusion: transparency, honesty, credibility, clarity and a focus on the essentials are the foundation and the key to successful sustainability communication. Crucially, successes must be made visible to everyone, both internally and externally. Furthermore, from 2016 to 2023, we handled regional and national communications and served as the official press contact for the Nuremberg Digital Festival.

Pro bono crisis counselling during the corona pandemic
The coronavirus pandemic poses a major challenge to the economy. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are often particularly hard hit. Since March 2020, we have been providing pro bono advice to SMEs across Germany facing difficulties, helping them tackle a range of challenges such as a business model under threat or a coronavirus outbreak amongst staff. For many businesses, it is not about image, but simply about survival. We also offer artists, the self-employed and SMEs help to help themselves with two free booklets on crisis management.
