KARL Kaltwasser meets JOSEPHS from Fraunhofer

Wohnwagon Vienna
On Thursday 27 July, our innovation project KARL was presented at JOSEPHS under the heading ‘smart living – zeitgeist and technology’. JOSEPHS is the Nuremberg branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Everyone. With pioneering topics centred on innovation, new services and products, the ‘Service-Manufaktur’ is an exciting window onto the future. Everything that concerns society today – so that we can live in prosperity in an intact world tomorrow – finds its place here.
So KARL was exactly in the right place at JOSEPHS, where it met those who are not content with the status quo but want more – more self-sufficiency, more sustainability, more modernity. Among them were numerous representatives from the City of Nuremberg and Messe Nürnberg, families, prospective buyers and tech enthusiasts, who created a fantastic atmosphere despite the tropical urban climate. Brigitte Kaltwasser’s introductory talk was followed by live links to the Wohnwagon technicians Christoph and Christian in Vienna, as well as to the field reporters at KARL at its current location in Roth. During this live demonstration, participants were able to ask all those involved their questions: topics such as technology, the water cycle, potential uses and costs were discussed and clarified in great detail.
We are delighted with this open-minded and knowledgeable audience and would like to thank JOSEPHS for providing this platform and for the superb ‘Denkfabrik’ format, with special thanks to Heike Karg, the project manager. It is with great joy and enthusiasm that we look back on this fascinating event in the very heart of the Nuremberg innovation region, and we look forward to a follow-up event in the near future.
