Our Karl: ‘Urban Living’ at Noris

Kaltwasser stands for communication that makes a difference.

In our 26th year, we’re putting the spotlight on mobility and the environment. With Karl – “Living self-sufficiently through communication” – we’re bringing the Wohnwagon to Franconia. Thanks to innovative technology, this mobile micro-home on wheels can be completely self-sufficient without any external connections, offering plenty of independence for both work and living.

When we discovered the Wohnwagon concept in 2015, we were instantly impressed: “A living space that makes anything possible. Karl is ideal as a small meeting room, a creative office, a short-stay hotel for clients and staff, a communication hub and much more besides. Anyone who wants to live in it has virtually no running costs and enjoys freedom and flexibility. Karl is the modern-day first class – that’s what the future looks like to me,” says Brigitte Kaltwasser, founder and owner of the agency, with delight. The combination of stylish design, resource conservation and (partially) mobile independence has completely won her over. So, from mid-May, we’ll be presenting the Wohnwagon for the first time in Franconia, complete with its own solar panel system, eco-toilet and water treatment via plants on the roof – right in the heart of the city.

Spanning around 15 square metres, Karl offers a well-thought-out living space, stripped back to the essentials – and that is precisely why it is so beautiful, high-quality and stylish.
For the creators and inventors of the Wohnwagon, Theresa Steininger and Christian Frantal from Vienna, true luxury lies in simplicity. “We want to make self-determined, sustainable living and working a reality,” says Theresa Steininger, explaining her pioneering project. Rising rents, the cramped conditions of city life, the waste of resources and a lack of connection with nature inspired her to come up with this idea.

On 12 May, our Karl will arrive in Nuremberg. If you’d like to find out more, simply send Karl an email: .
