KARL & JOSEPHS – Networking at its best

Under the exhibition concept ‘KARL & JOSEPHS – Networking at its Best’, our innovation project KARL and the Fraunhofer Institute’s service centre jointly presented their work at the ‘iENA’ inventors’ fair in Nuremberg from 27 to 30 October.

Since its inaugural event in 1948, iENA has showcased more than 30,000 innovations, establishing itself as the leading international trade fair for ideas, inventions and innovations. Until 30 October, new products, innovative solutions and creative ideas from the fields of design, engineering and science will be showcased in collaboration with this year’s partner country, Austria.

As a native Austrian and a true Nuremberger, the ‘KARL’ smart living project by Kaltwasser Kommunikation was, of course, a must-see at the event. With JOSEPHS, the Fraunhofer Institute’s service manufacturer, we had the perfect partner at our side to bring forward-looking new approaches to self-sufficiency and sustainability to life.

Flanked by Blindbot, Mobilescope, e-tube and e-ICE, KARL welcomed visitors right in the entrance area and proved to be a real crowd-puller with experts and the general public alike. Our KARL was also a clear highlight at the new product showcase in the run-up to the trade fair: the combination of a stylish living experience, self-sufficient living and sustainable management simply has a bright future.

Consequently, at the height of the fair, KARL was awarded the “Honorary Prize for Outstanding Achievements”. We would like to express our gratitude for this recognition and for the forward-looking perspective on the future of self-sufficient living.
