We support the trailblazers at Bluepingu

We support the people who make things happen
For this to work, in addition to the roughly 100 active members and 40 supporting members, a fair amount of infrastructure is also required. Two staff members employed at the head office handle the bookkeeping and administration, whilst two federal volunteers look after the office in the Caritas-Pirckheimer-Haus.
We at Kaltwasser are supporting the Bluepingu association directly with our 2023 Christmas donation, so that the enablers have a little more leeway for essential purchases and new ideas. After all: without an organisation, there are no projects!
A breeding ground for sustainable projects
Founded in 2009, the organisation is committed to initiatives such as food and resource conservation (neighbourhood gardens, raised beds as part of the ‘Edible City’ project, collective processing of rescued food) and mobility (cargo bikes for all, mobile bike workshops). The Pingus raise local awareness of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (‘SDGs go local’ recently organised the painting of SDG 16 on a transformer station with refugees, under the guidance of an artist). Numerous projects initiated here have since become independent organisations (Halle für alle e.V., Foodsharing, Zukunftsräume e.V.) or are currently in the process of doing so (Nürnberger Weltacker).
More information about Bluepingu e.V. is available here.
