Designing living space
together

Spatial and mobility projects
between planning and participation

Modern mobility concepts, new urban neighbourhoods, climate adaptation: spaces are changing – and with them the way we live and get around. Anyone wishing to shape this transformation needs communication that makes planning understandable, and participation that empowers local people to help shape their own living environment.

Space & Mobility in Transition

Urban and regional development is undergoing profound change: climate-neutral neighbourhoods, sustainable mobility and new demands on technical infrastructure, retail concepts and social infrastructure are transforming how spaces are used and developed.

Whether in cities or rural areas, infrastructure projects in transport and spatial planning affect many stakeholders: local authorities, businesses, citizens, environmental organisations and landowners. All have legitimate interests, and all want to be heard.

Added to this are lengthy planning periods, complex coordination processes and growing expectations regarding participation and transparency. Communication is key here in determining whether plans become joint projects – and whether the future remains malleable.

Our mission

Bringing planning to life and fostering active participation

We provide communication support for urban and regional development projects as well as transport infrastructure projects – from strategic planning right through to implementation.

Sometimes clear communication is needed to make complex content understandable and reach a wide audience. Sometimes impartial facilitation is required to bring together different perspectives. We enjoy doing both – and always assess on a case-by-case basis what is needed.

  • Strategic communications consultancy: providing guidance in dynamic processes.

  • Transparent information: conveys technically complex topics in a clear and accessible manner.

  • Shaping dialogue: planning and implementing participatory processes in a transparent and inclusive manner – so that planning becomes comprehensible and participation becomes possible.

  • Connecting stakeholders: bringing together the administration, specialist planners, politicians and citizens; mediating conflicts; and highlighting different perspectives.
