The foundation: safe waste management for tomorrow

Mitteldeutsche Entsorgungs- und Abfallbewirtschaftungsgesellschaft mbH (MEAB) is a key player in the circular economy in Berlin and Brandenburg. With its state-of-the-art facilities, it helps ensure that waste can be disposed of safely and in an environmentally sound manner – a prerequisite for protecting people and the environment.

To ensure that these tasks can continue to be carried out in the future, two major projects are being implemented:

  • Schöneiche Hazardous Waste Incineration Plant (SAV): The refurbishment of the existing plant will ensure the long-term disposal of hazardous waste such as hospital waste, varnishes, paints and solvents.
  • Röthehof hazardous waste landfill: The reactivation of the existing landfill will ensure the disposal of DK III waste in the region for the next 20 years or so.

Kaltwasser is supporting MEAB with public communications for both projects. We present complex content in an accessible way and ensure that the public and local political decision-makers remain informed about the background, necessity and progress of the projects.
